The Taverne mobile iPhone app was designed to act as a companion to the Taverne documentary series that aired on Historia. It recounted the story of taverns, establishments that were a quintessential part of Quebec culture. The app provided an original, interactive experience in three parts:

• A directory of lively taverns, all of them featured in the show;
• a user-driven tool to help them plan their evenings in one of the selected establishments;
• Apprenti tavernier: a modern retro game where players scored points by earning tips from impatient clients who wanted their beer served as fast as possible.

A friendly, unpretentious app that helped keep the spirit of these legendary locations alive and well.
